Principal areas of practice:
Divorce & Family Law, Civil Litigation
Sean Armstrong's divorce and family law practice focuses on child custody, parenting time, spousal and child support, property division, adoption, and guardianship proceedings. He recognizes the delicate family dynamics at work during a divorce and understands that personal attention to his clients' unique circumstances requires a thoughtful and creative approach to problem-solving.
Mr. Armstrong uses alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration and mediation where possible so his clients can avoid as much time, expense, and stress as possible in this most difficult of life transitions. He is an effective trial advocate where settlement is not possible.
Mr. Armstrong currently serves on the Board of the Marion County Bar Association, the Executive Committee for the Oregon State Bar Family Law Section, and is a judge for Teen Court and for Mock Trial and Moot Court at Willamette University School of Law. He joined Garrett Hemann Robertson as an associate in 2004 and became a shareholder in 2008.
