Mark Comstock has broad experience in business, civil and commercial litigation, and in all areas of school law. He is recognized as a leader in creditor rights and bankruptcy litigation, representing clients in bankruptcy court and in various matters in civil litigation before all state and federal courts throughout Oregon. Mr. Comstock also counsels school districts and education service districts in personnel, civil rights and special education matters, business management practices, and represents them at trial and legislative and administrative hearings.

In addition to his work with clients, Mr. Comstock is very active in the Oregon State Bar. He frequently speaks and writes for the Bar's continuing legal education programs and publications. In 1998, he was honored twice by the Bar, receiving the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section Award of Merit for his significant contributions to the section and its members. He also received one of six President's Public Service awards for his substantial contributions to the public through efforts involving pro bono services, the legislative/public affairs process, law-related education, coordination of public service law-related events, and service with community organizations.

Mr. Comstock joined the firm as a law clerk in 1979, became an attorney in the firm in 1981, and a shareholder in 1985.
